I will admit that my wife is the primary user of this unit and she is a tough customer. If the unit was not solid or lacked overall quality, she would complain.

The 5 stars are well deserved in product quality and customer service. It is a bit of work to assemble, but once completed it does deliver and it's solid, quite and delivers a good work-out. Very smooth mechanics and intuitive dashboard. It does not have Internet capability, etc. But we're not interested in sharing our work-out effort via social network and these sort of things. Bottom line is, I can't find a reason to complain about the quality of the this equipment. I can only complement.

Now, I was disappointed that a pulse monitor was not included with this unit as it is the top of the line model and lesser models include the heart rate monitor (which is worn across the chest). There are also work-out programs that require this sensor, if a tailored work-out is desired. So I was upset and prepared to argue as I have just spent top dollar for the top of the line and now need to buy an accessory. No way!

Well, 1 minute into the call the support person says: "Sure, if you would like the pulse monitor, we'll send you one". Within the week I had a pulse monitor at no cost!

So great product and great service. If I had my money back today and an opportunity to decide again from scratch, I would buy this elliptical again.

I ordered this directly from the manufacturer's website, due to the fact that the 2013 model was not available on Amazon. Sears offered it for the same price, but it did not include free delivery like the manufacturer (but Amazon does when it is in stock). The delivery service was really easy to deal with: they gave me a two-hour window, and were true professionals when delivering the item. Keep in mind that you will have to pay extra if you want the delivery person to lift it up stairs, etc. They will be more than happy to wheel the heavy package into my garage, but if you are expecting them to move it into a room inside your house, you will need to cough up more dough.

The elliptical works great, it is silent, and I like the large info screen. I was contemplating going for the E35 model (more expensive), but it would not fit in my preferred location due to the additional length; the E25 is shorter in length by many inches. That said, I am totally happy with the E25, and I feel like the upgrade to the E35 would have been overkill for my needs and not worth the additional money.

I am going out on a limb, but after reading the negative reviews on this site, I get the feeling that most people are writing negative reviews for this particular model due to their own assembly errors. Instead of exclusively using the included tools for assembly, I used a 3/8" ratchet with 12mm and 14mm sockets PLUS the included 13mm open wrench. I also used a 1/4" ratchet with a 5mm hex/allen bit versus the included L-shaped allen key. These two tools enabled me to significantly reduce the assembly time to about 1.5 hours (and I assembled it really slowly to be safe)

I read review on this before purchasing and people complained that it was hard to assemble and makes noises. As long as you can follow directions and lube the components as told, it is pretty simple to do. I am a young, small female, had no help at all, and put it together in 3 hours with the help of my dog. If he didn't try to help, I probably could have had in done 30 minutes sooner. Once done though it did have a slight squeak, so I had my neighbor come over and get on it so I could listen for the squeak. It was easy to identify, I lubed the area and the noise is gone.

As far as the machine itself. The programs are awesome and easy to use, and the resistance levels work as expected. I questioned the effectiveness of the rear incline as opposed to the usual front incline. From watch videos, it did not look to be as effective, but I decided to give it a try anyhow. IT IS AWESOME!

Overall, well worth the money, shipped fast, easy to use, and easy to assemble.
